Easy Access from Tokyo
Best access is via a 1.5 hour bullet train from Tokyo to Nagano station on the Hokuriku Shinkansen.
We recommend renting a car in Nagano. Its a 35 minute drive from Nagano Station to our accommodation in Nojiri.
If you are coming by car, studless tires (winter tires) are a must . A vehicle with 4WD/AWD is also highly recommended.
Dont worry if its your first time driving in snow. Roads are plowed and salted multiple times a day. You wont have to climb any steep and windy mountain roads to get to resorts out here!
